Reds Flame Out Against Watkins, Giants
James Watkins had an impressive outing at The Old Grounds, hurling the Detroit Giants to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Saint Louis Reds.

"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Saint Louis skipper Richard Millsap said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."
