Beavers Rally to Nose Past Detroit
The Riverlands played host to some real drama.

The Saint Louis Beavers topped the Detroit Giants, 2-1, in 11 innings at The Riverlands. The game was highlighted by the performance of Saint Louis pitcher Artie Spenceley. Saint Louis raised its record to 54-31 with the win.

The decisive blow was delivered by Richmond Elliott in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off former first round draft pick Jimmie Miller to win the game for Saint Louis. The home crowd went nuts.

"Artie was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Saint Louis manager Stanley Gisentaner.
