Athletics Snatch Late-Game, 3-2 Win
|
Starting pitcher Quentin Rose gave the Cleveland Athletics a rock-solid effort. The Ossining, New York native helped his team defeat the Chicago Packers, 3-2, at Powers Field. The last-place Athletics sport a record of 30-52.
Quincy Stobert made it 3-2, in favor of Cleveland when he delivered a 2-run single. It came with one out in the top of the ninth. The Athletics went on to win.
"Tough loss," said Chicago manager Kyle Levin. "But we'll learn from it."
