Cleveland Shuts Out Twin City, 2-0
|
Ocie Stibbs had an impressive outing at Bozeman Municipal Park, hurling the Cleveland Athletics to a 2-0 shutout victory over the Twin City Empire.
"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Twin City skipper Country Hardy said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."
On the day, the left-handed Stibbs yielded 5 hits and tallied 1 strikeout with 1 walk.
This season, Stibbs has compiled a 15-7 mark, 2.51 ERA and made 25 starts.
