Oilers Lose to Athletics in Walk-Off
The Cleveland Athletics took John Oxenden's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Bozeman Municipal Park. The final score had Cleveland getting past the Oilers, 4-3, in 11 innings. Oxenden over 8 innings allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 4. The win was credited to 38-year old right-handed pitcher Charles Cooper in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Wilber Whiteley took the loss. The Athletics saw their win-loss record go to 38-39. At the same time, the Oilers fell to 31-46.

The Athletics got a clutch hit from pitcher Charles Cooper. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Athletics.

"I had pretty good command out there," said Cooper.
