Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Packers
The Chicago Packers beat the Cincinnati Doves, 11-10 -- though it took them 10 innings. Chicago shortstop Alvis Allen had a pretty good game. He went 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. For the Doves, the loss makes them 7-16.

The Packers got a clutch hit from right fielder Godfrey Purcell. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Packers.

"We're trending in the wrong direction," said Cincinnati manager Robert Walmsley.
