Whales Suffer One-Run Loss at Philadelphia
Quentin Rose brought his A-game to help Philadelphia defeat the Brooklyn Whales, 2-1. Rose, now 12-14, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 2, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Philadelphia bumps their record to 51-63 with the win.

Philadelphia took control in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and a runner on 3rd, Milan Featherstone hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Brewers.
