Slumping Kings Lose 7th Straight
Baltimore third baseman Elmer Wyeth was instrumental in helping the Clippers triumph, 7-3, over the New York Kings. Wyeth was 2-4 with a triple and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Earning the save was Arthur Armstrong. He's now cashed in 4 of 4 save opportunities. New York now owns a losing streak of 7 games.

Baltimore used the timely hitting of Stewart Marsden to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Clippers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I know everybody in here is putting in the work," said New York manager Thomas Dickey. "It's just not paying off."
