In a tight tilt between Brooklyn and Baltimore, pitcher Everette Lee was a key contributor. The right-hander earned accolades for his standout performance in the 3-1 Whales win. At 68-25, the Whales are currently first in the Eastern Division.

In the bottom of the seventh, Rocky Marino put Brooklyn in front with a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single, making the score 3-1, Whales.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Lee told reporters after the game.
