Batkin Now 13-8 After Subduing Banshees
|
In a tight game between the New York Bakers and the Boston Banshees, pitcher Robert Batkin was terrific on the mound. The New York left-hander helped his team to the 2-1 win. Spencer Meaden, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities. The New York winning streak has reached 3 games.
Batkin made it look easy. He scattered 5 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The left-hander upped his season record to 13-8.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Batkin told the New York Herald.
