Boston pitcher Merrill Marsham had a large part in his team beating the Brooklyn Whales, 7-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Banshees improved their record to 38-34 with the win over Brooklyn.

Boston took a 3-2 lead on Hyman Rickward's 10th triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Rickward hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Brooklyn pitcher Jewell Durtnell visibly frustrated.

"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Banshees," said Rickward.
