Sluggers Dump Amari Queen as Manager Monday, March 5th , 2029 You can't fire the players when times get tough. Amari Queen learned that the hard way today as he was dismissed from his managerial position with the Louisville Sluggers. Citing a need to "shake things up," a team official said it was time to move on. "We respect what Amari has done for the club and we thank him for his time here, but we just think the future of the Sluggers needs to be handled by someone else and needs to move in a different direction," said club general manager in a prepared statement. For his part, Queen remained upbeat about the decision. "I know it's a business and sometimes you've just got to make a change," he said. "I want to thank Louisville for the opportunity to manage here." Team officials are expected to announce an interim manager in the next few days. |
