Guevara Gets 6 Hits
Monday, January 26th , 2032
The Kentucky Klondike Bars stopped the Taiwan #1 by a score of 58-57 at Sound Tigers Park, with the lion's share of the credit going to left fielder Jorge Guevara. The 5-year-old had a career day, collecting 6 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Guevara said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Guevara did just that in his 9 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the #1.
"Not much that I can say," offered Taiwan manager Josh Van Blarcom. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Jorge Guevara hit a sac fly in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a three-run double in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, walked in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Esteban Bautista in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
This year, Guevara is batting .455 with 30 home runs and 161 RBIs. In 58 games he has scored 124 times.
