Easy Tames Mariners 13-0, 18 Ks Friday, August 20th , 2032 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Quadir Easy, the South Florida Beach Bums topped the Seattle Mariners by a score of 13-0 at Peoria Sports Complex. The 19-year-old Easy brought his top game to the mound, striking out 18 batters while allowing 1 hit and giving up 2 walks. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Mariners manager Bryan Schmidt said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes." Over the season Easy has thrown 66 innings and dished out 114 strikeouts with a 5-4 mark and a 3.68 ERA. |
