Cottonmouths Pitching Ravaged by Olivas
Saturday, August 7th , 2032
No matter what the Carrollwood Cottonmouths threw at him, David Olivas hit it. He easily handled Cottonmouths pitching, going 5 for 7 and helping the Bunny Ranchers triumph, 9-6, at Banner Island Ballpark.
"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.
Told of Olivas's quip, Cottonmouths skipper Jason Bell said he "would take him up on that next time."
David Olivas singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
This season, Olivas has hit 28 home runs and posted a .330 batting average.
