Brixton Tops Winston-Salem Saturday, October 1st , 2033 The Brixton faithful were cheering in the streets, and Winston-Salem fans wiping away the tears, after the Guns won the Round 2 at Dutchess Stadium today. The Guns clinched it by knocking off the Dash 14-2 to take their 1st South Atlantic League crown. Brixton took the series 4-3. "This club never gave up all year long," Brixton manager Sergio Santos told the press. "They believed they could win the title and they did." On the way to the Round 2 title, Brixton compiled a 85-47 won-loss record and finished second in the Northern Division. "We just didn't play well enough to win," Dash manager Angel Caraballo said. "We just didn't make the big plays like they did." |
