Ochoa Red-Hot, TL Player of the Week Monday, April 25th , 2033 Bermuda fans have something to crow about today as Bermuda catcher Juan Ochoa nabbed the Texas League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Ochoa. He posted a .615 average (8-for-13) this past week with 1 home run, 6 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. This season, Ochoa is swinging the bat at a .500 rate with 10 hits in 20 at-bats. To date he has hit 1 home run, scored 3 runs and driven in 7. |
