Ochoa 5-for-5 for Triangles
Sunday, April 24th , 2033
It was a sensational day at the plate for Juan Ochoa as he led the charge to a nifty 11-3 win over the Nuggets. The Bermuda catcher was pure misery for the Pahrump pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Ochoa put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Chris Johnson, manager for the Nuggets, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Juan Ochoa doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Ricardo Rodriguez in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
This season, Ochoa is swinging the bat at a .500 pace. He has hit 1 home run and scored 3 times, while driving in 7. His on-base percentage is .524 and he has played in 5 games.
