3-HR Game for Wanderer
Monday, April 11th , 2033
It was a good day for the Univille Stripers and an exceptional one for D.J. Wanderer. The 20-year-old left fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Stripers beat the Harlem Renaissance, 10-9, at Coolray Field.
"When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Wanderer said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day."
For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 5 runs and smacked 5 hits in 6 at-bats.
D.J. Wanderer grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Alpha Singfield in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Nate Davis in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Nate Davis in the 9th and hit an RBI double in the 10th.
So far this season, Wanderer has recorded a .321 batting average with 9 hits, 6 home runs, 12 RBIs, 9 runs scored and a .457 OBP.
