Morfin and Stroker Fight, Get Suspended Wednesday, September 15th , 2032 After an intense confrontation, both the Titians Juan Morfin and the Indians Willie Stroker were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Tigerville-New Mexico game. Juan Morfin will miss 4 games, while Willie Stroker was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Juan Morfin commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This season, Morfin has delivered 48 hits in 212 at-bats for a .226 average with 11 home runs. He is getting on base at a .308 clip and his totals also include 45 RBIs and 25 runs scored. This year Morfin has played in 81 games. This season, Stroker has worked 46.2 innings with 37 strikeouts en route to a 2-3 record and a 5.59 ERA. |
