Priest Captures IL Batter of Month Award Monday, October 1st , 2035 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 22 Johnny Priest has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Univille Stripers star can enjoy the numbers he put up in September, which have garnered him the nod as the International League Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .413 average with 7 home runs, 18 RBIs and 14 runs scored. This season in 63 games, Priest is batting .331 with 19 home runs, 50 RBIs and has scored 48 times. |
