Castro Excels, But Beach Bums Win
Ernesto Castro had a good game, but he could not keep the Seward Sea Otters from falling, 7-5, to the South Florida Beach Bums at Ballpark of Kingston. The Seward right fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice in the loss. T.J. Sturgeon notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 5-3. Josh Sanabria notched his 13th save of the season.

South Florida used the timely hitting of Chad Hickey to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Beach Bums on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Hickey.

The South Florida win streak is now 5 games.
