Hit Parade: Brown Pops 5 Hits
Benny Brown was at the head of a Chinese Taipei hit parade at Bucks Park. The first baseman went to the plate 7 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Vacuum Cleaners to a nice 35-9 victory over the Taiwan #1.

"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Brown told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."

#1 skipper Josh Van Blarcom said later that the club gave up "too much plate."

"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

Benny Brown singled in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Steve Levine in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 7th.

Brown is swinging at a .453 pace on the year with 28 home runs, 137 RBIs and 119 runs scored. He has played in 49 games.
