Montoya Torches #1 for 5 Hits
The Duskwood Bounty Hunters stopped the Taiwan #1 by a score of 38-7 at Ballpark of Bakersfield, with the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Jorge Montoya. The 5-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Montoya said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Montoya did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the #1.

"Not much that I can say," offered Taiwan manager Josh Van Blarcom. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Jorge Montoya walked in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 1st, walked in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.

This season, Montoya has 15 home runs and a .433 batting average.
