New York N (DSL) Southpaw Tosses 4-0 Shutout
Wednesday, July 29th , 2043
In an outstanding mound performance, New York N (DSL) Mets 1 starter Mike Salinas fired a complete-game shutout against the Minnesota (DSL) Twins at Baseball City Complex.
Salinas was the key to the 4-0 New York N (DSL) win. The 19-year-old left-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 9 hits and no walks he allowed.
"9 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout."
This season, he has made no relief appearances, collecting no saves. Salinas has worked 62.1 innings, yielding 60 hits and giving out 9 free passes while striking out 43. He has a 4-5 record with a 3.18 ERA.
