Pirates 2 End Homma Streak Tuesday, July 1st , 2042 It was a doubly miserable day for Naotaka Homma of the Cleveland (DSL) Indians 2, as he saw his 27-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 5-4, to the Pittsburgh (DSL) Pirates 2 at Academia de Prospecto Complex. The 21-year-old starting pitcher was held hitless in 3 at-bats by the Pirates 2. "Anyone on a 27-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Pittsburgh (DSL) manager Candido Pimentel said later.
