Orioles Black, Smith Stonewall New York N (FCL), 6-0 Wednesday, August 26th , 2043 The New York N (FCL) Mets met their match today in Baltimore (FCL) hurler Daniel Smith. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 5-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," New York N (FCL) skipper Sean Rodriguez said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat." In the 6-0 victory, Smith whiffed 9 and gave up no walks. Up to now Smith has compiled an ERA of 1.31 with a 7-0 mark over 10 starts. He has 65 strikeouts in 75.1 innings and has held opponents to a .176 batting average. |
