Carr Raps 3 Homers Against Dragons

Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's River Bandits-Dragons game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball.
Quad Cities first baseman Joe Carr thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Quad Cities to a win, 9-1, over Dayton.
"Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Carr said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run."
Carr was 3-for-5 on the day with 3 runs batted in.
Joe Carr hit a solo-shot off Greg Porter in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Greg Porter in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Unto Pellonpaa in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th and struck out in the 8th.
For the season, Carr is batting .300 with 6 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 4 times and batted in 4.
