Tourists Jake Acree Will Miss Season Tuesday, August 11th , 2043 Jake Acree will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Asheville center fielder could miss the remainder of the year. Acree was injured while running the bases in the Tourists-Hot Rods clash at McCormick Field recently. Doctors said he has a ruptured achilles tendon and would be out a minimum of 7 months. Thus far this year, Acree is hitting .328 with 5 home runs, 21 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
