Jersey Shore Takes Title Thursday, October 1st , 2043 This is the time of the baseball season when grown men are reduced to tears. This year, the Jersey Shore BlueClaws were shedding tears of joy and the Greenville Drive those of sorrow. The BlueClaws topped the Drive today 3-2 at FirstEnergy Park and locked up their 5th High-A East Round 2 championship, winning the series 4-1. "To come this far and leave empty-handed is not easy," said Greenville manager Andrew Cashner. The BlueClaws finished the regular season in the Northern Division with a 83-57 record, ending up in first place in the division standings. |
