High-A East's Best Batter Announced Monday, June 27th , 2044 Rome Braves center fielder Joe Armstrong walked away with the High-A East Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Braves fans are really behind me right now," said the 21-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Armstrong batted .500 (8-for-16) with 2 home runs and 5 RBIs this week on his way to the award. Posting a .343 batting average to date, Armstrong has 4 home runs and 19 RBIs. |
