Nuanes Swats 3 Homers Sunday, August 9th , 2043 Wichita Wind Surge center fielder Juan Nuanes put on a dazzling display of power at Dr. Pepper Ballpark against the Frisco RoughRiders. In the 4-1 Wind Surge victory, Nuanes penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts. "He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Frisco manager Nick Flair said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well." Along with his three home runs, the 27-year-old had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Nuanes said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today." Juan Nuanes hit a solo-shot off Jeff Hopkins in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jeff Hopkins in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Willie Enriquez in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
