Richmond Mathematically Eliminated from Playoffs Monday, August 11th , 2042 The Richmond Flying Squirrels certainly didn't impress many fans this with their play on the field. And now there is no hope of turning a dismal season around -- the team was officially knocked out of playoff contention today. The Flying Squirrels have missed the playoffs 19 times in their 22 years as a Double-A Northeast franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2039. In the last 10 seasons, the Flying Squirrels have missed the playoffs 7 times. |
