3-Game Suspension for Cubs Best Friday, August 28th , 2043 The baseball commissioner has suspended Cubs shortstop Tim Best 3 games for arguing too vehemently on a called third strike in the St. Paul game at CHS Field. Apparently he said the magic words and was ejected by the home plate umpire. He went into the dugout, then returned to the field, resumed his argument with the umpire and had to be restrained by his first base coach. Best said he shouldn't have gone back on the field. "I was pretty mad. I was all over the place." For the year, Best has hit at a .215 clip with 24 RBIs, 2 home runs and 45 runs scored. |
