5 times is the charm -- at least for Rocky Nield.

The Columbus Clippers second baseman tore up the Worcester Red Sox to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Huntington Park. The offensive onslaught from Nield powered the 12-1 Clippers win.

"Nield was a tough out," Worcester manager Esmil Rogers said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."

Rocky Nield singled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Mike Crawford in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Brad Timm in the 8th.

This season in 81 games, Nield is batting .283 with 12 home runs, 49 RBIs and has scored 37 times.
