Radoncis Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Saturday, April 11th , 2048 Velimir Radoncis of the Novokuznetsk College Players extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with 2 hits in today's 8-7 triumph over the Izmir College Night Hawks at Izmir College Stadium. "Velimir has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Players manager Bakhtiar Gugunava joked after the game. Velimir Radoncis struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Yaremka Pastushenko in the 6th and walked in the 8th. Thus far this season in 29 games, Radoncis is batting .415 with 2 home runs, 18 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 49 hits in 118 at-bats. |
