Estafiev Torches 1916ers for 5 Hits Tuesday, June 13th , 2051 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Nice's 26-7 win over Dublin, catcher Stanislav Estafiev was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Ninnies Stadium. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Estafiev said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Stanislav Estafiev struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Ka-fei Cao in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Ancel Linder in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. For the season, Estafiev is currently batting .302 with 10 home runs and 32 RBIs. In 45 games he has reached base at a .389 rate and scored 34 runs to date. |
