Mashers Lose, 5-2, at Mt. Olympus

The Athens Olympians scooped up a win at Mt. Olympus, dumping the Monaco Mashers, 5-2. Thom Yorke, who finished 3rd in the EB in strikeouts with 266 in 2037, was essential to his team's success. Yorke picked up the win for Athens, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. Today's win puts Athens at 17-22, while Monaco falls to 12-27.
Billy Tyler, who is tied for 5th in the EB in home runs with 8, took Monaco hurler Albert Martin deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Olympians on top, 2-0. In all, Tyler had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
