It wasn't easy but the Gänserndorf Spiders made it look that way.

Starter Dumitru Hurmuzescu shut out the Loznica Arrows despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Gänserndorf Spiders cruised to victory, 4-0. Hurmuzescu allowed only 2 hits and rang up 7 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

His record this year is 6-3 in 12 starts and Hurmuzescu has a 3.61 ERA.
