Oaks Win League Championship Series
The Grums Oaks clubhouse was filled with glee and celebration tonight, while the Akranes Gimli room was filled with despair and sadness after the League Championship Series concluded.

"Someone's got to win and someone's got to lose, we're just glad we're on the good end of it tonight and can enjoy this," said Joseph Keller, who was named MVP for a strong series of offensive performance.

Grums won the final game by a 4-0 count at Gimli Grounds and the series 4-1.

Akranes manager Jean Joubert was simple and to-the-point in his assessment of the series.

"They were the better team and deserve to move on," he said.

For the series, Keller hit .444 with a .600 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Grums Oaks will play against the Rosyth Soldats in the next round. Rosyth won their series against the Saint-Michel-sur-Orge Tycoons 4 games to 1. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
