Bad Boy Brawlers Suspended 5 Games Thursday, July 9th , 2071 Tempers were flaring yesterday at Ripken Stadium. Both the Tigers and Ironbirds were defending their turf. A few punches were thrown, but fortunately very few landed -- there was more wrestling than fighting. When the umpires sorted everything out, Connecticut's Vitaly Mihasenko and Aberdeen's Erjan Kost were ejected from the game. Today the league office suspended Mihasenko and Kost for 5 games each. In 13 games this year, Mihasenko has posted a .231 average and put up these numbers: 3 home runs, 3 RBIs and 5 runs scored. |
