Dragons Marino Suspended 4 Games Sunday, August 5th , 2068 Shortly after yesterday's Dragons-Vibes game ended, Juan Marino's on-field tantrum seemed almost comical. In response to being ejected for questioning a called third strike, the Dayton catcher tossed his hat to the dirt and kicked it repeatedly. He couldn't help but laugh at himself and his over-the-top, hat-kicking, anger-laced tirade. "It was funny," Marino said. "I was hoping I could kick it all the way to the dugout." The umpiring crew, however, didn't find it funny and neither did the league. Though Marino said he did not think his actions warranted a suspension, he will miss 4 games. Marino is hitting .165 so far this season with 11 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has 16 hits including 5 home runs, 8 walks and .250 OBP. |
