Flying Tigers Advance to Round 3 Thursday, October 1st , 2071 The Lakeland Flying Tigers out-dueled and outgunned the Tampa Tarpons in the Round 2 and are on to the next round. Lakeland won the final game 8-5 at George M. Steinbrenner Field and the series 4-1. Jason Lewis was named series MVP for a strong offensive performance during the Round 2. He had a .435 average with a .435 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 7 runs. "I was seeing the ball well and glad to help my team out and get us to the Round 3," he said. The Lakeland Flying Tigers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Piedmont Boll Weevils - Bradenton Marauders series. Piedmont leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
