Tapia Cracks 3 HRs for Pulaski

Pulaski Mariners third baseman Gustavo Tapia left the Princeton pitching staff in ruins at H.P. Hunnicutt Field, beating the Rays, 13-3, with a prodigious three-home run performance.
"The last one was totally unexpected," Tapia told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three."
For the game, the Pulaski third baseman had 4 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 5 and scored 4 runs.
Gustavo Tapia hit a solo-shot off Diego Ramírez in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Diego Ramírez in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Guonçallo Espinosa in the 9th.
A look at his current stats shows Tapia with a .304 average, 8 home runs, 22 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has played in 38 games.
