Jude Quilter discovered that today at Merchantsauto.com Stadium, as he smashed three home runs during the 15-2 New Hampshire Fisher Cats win over the Frisco RoughRiders. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the New Hampshire left fielder said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Quilter finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 4 RBIs. Jude Quilter hit a two-run home run off Ewan Rabbetts in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Petro Rombouts in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Chris Laursen in the 8th. For the season, Quilter has produced 14 hits in 38 at-bats for a .368 average with 8 home runs and gotten on base at a .478 clip. |
