Tuesday, June 9th , 2071
Reno Aces left fielder Bruce Gahan had a magnificent game against the Memphis Redbirds, rocketing three balls out of AutoZone Park to help the Aces win, 20-3.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Gahan went 3-for-5 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Reno manager Hermann Frank said later. "Seems like Bruce found his home run stroke today."
Bruce Gahan walked in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
This season, Gahan is swinging the bat at a .244 rate with 42 hits in 172 at-bats. To date he has hit 12 home runs, scored 24 runs and driven in 36.
