Milwaukee, LF Álvarez Come to Agreement Saturday, January 30th , 2072 In what local scribes are hailing as a huge move for the team's future, the Brewers inked a $16,600,000 deal with left fielder Ángel Álvarez. Team officials expect Álvarez to fill an immediate void on the roster and felt the deal would solidify them as a playoff contender. Álvarez has played in 1789 games with a .299 lifetime batting average. Among his 2143 hits are 392 doubles, 103 triples and 245 home runs. He has also scored 1174 runs and driven in 945 runs. |
