Miami Deals Barnes to Cleveland for Page Monday, June 1st , 2071 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Marlins announced today the acquisition of 23-year old minor league 1B Richard Page from the Cleveland Guardians in exchange for 26-year old minor league RF Dan Barnes and 28-year old minor league CF Bob de la Ros. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Marlins, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Barnes's career batting average stands at .209, and he has 27 home runs. |
