Astros Top Twins, 1-0, Behind Rush
|
Houston pitcher Tim Rush had a large part in his team subduing the Minnesota Twins, 1-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. George Collier Jr. earned the save for Houston, his 2nd. Houston, now 4-11, is off to a slow start.
Rush, the Houston right-hander, went 7 innings, allowing no runs on 2 hits. He collected 7 strikeouts.
"Tim was pretty good at keeping their guys off-balance," said Houston manager Elbert Phillips.
