Padres Advance to League Series
While it wasn't a complete mismatch, the San Diego Padres showed themselves to be the superior team in the Divisional Series, downing the New York Mets 3-1.

"Nothing is ever easy in the Extra Innings Baseball playoffs. Whether you're a favorite or an underdog, you can't take anyone lightly or you'll get burned," said Mark Kindle, who was named series MVP after a standout offensive performance.

San Diego won the final game by a 3-2 count at Petco Park to clinch its spot in the next round.

They will hope to once again rely on Kindle there, as he hit .455 with 0 home runs, 1 RBI 1 runs scored during the series.

The San Diego Padres don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Atlanta Braves - Milwaukee Brewers series. Atlanta leads the series 2 games to 0. The League Series is scheduled to begin on October 16th , 2068.
